About NINA Z

ABOUT NINA Z - the label

NINA Z, a native of Sweden, launched her namesake label in 2008 to fill the clog void she experienced living in New York City. The brand has since then grown outside of NINA's Crown Height's living-room to an international shoe brand supplying customers all over the world with its handcrafted and minimalist clog designs. These days NINA divides her time between Brooklyn and Woodstock, where she lives and works with her husband, who works along side her at their Woodstock studio. Her husband's African decent and creative inspiration is an important design compliment to the current line. To supplement the permanent foundation line, seasonal styles are frequently added. NINA's design philosophy is to offer NINA Z's customers raw, but timeless designs easily paired with a minimalist wardrobe. NINA always offers a rack of curated natural material minimalist vintage pieces on display along with her clog designs. NINA's main source of inspiration is the aeasthetics and color hues that she encounters on an every day basis in a tiled rest stop bathroom floor, a passing female, a vintage painting or the ever changing exterior or interiors of her beloved Woodstock Bauhaus. NINA was a pioneer in the revival of ethical sourcing and use of man power, always putting weight of how and by who and how her product.
